How would you describe your style/approach?

My style is best described as documentary or photojournalistic. That just means I want to be able to capture every bit of the time I have with you as you envisioned and as it happens without being intrusive to the moments. Less posed, more real moments. (Don't worry, I'll guide you through some badass portraits that feel like you too!)

When can I expect to get my photos?

For weddings, you’ll get a few sneak peeks the day after your wedding. I want you to have something on the heels of such a big day! Depending on the season, typical delivery for the rest of your images is 6-8 weeks after your date. For engagement sessions, the turnaround is 1-2 weeks.

How will I get my photos? Do I get a print release?

You'll get your images via digital download from an online gallery link that I send to you. Your gallery is hosted for up to 12 months but I remind you to download your gallery as soon as you get it! Back it up back it up back it up! I no longer offer USB drives with your package to save on costs to you AND because I've found that people rely on them too much to preserve their photos. USB drives DO NOT last forever! Good quality prints however, will last you your lifetime. PRINT YOUR NOSTALGIA FOR YOUR FUTURE SELF. I encourage this and give you a personal print release so that you can take them wherever you'd like to print.

How many photos will be delivered?

Every wedding is different from locations to the details you put into it. At the very minimum, you will get at least 500 beautiful images from your wedding day. These images are the very best work I have to offer and are fully edited with the highest standard of quality. It’s definitely quality over quantity when it comes down to it but I don’t hold back any great moments. If it’s there, you get it!

My venue requires all vendors to be insured. Are you?

Yes! This is an industry standard and you should expect any professional photographer or vendor you work with to be fully insured with back ups and back up plans. All my bases are covered and I’m happy to work with your venue on providing the proper credentials.

Wedding day timeline: where do I start with this?? Ahhhhhh!

I LOVE figuring out the timeline of the day with you and your coordinator so let's do this together to make sure we are fitting in everything you need and want while making sure the day still has some breathing time to enjoy your moments! My biggest advice is to start figuring out your CEREMONY START TIME first and then work around that.

 
 

TIP: CEREMONY START TIMES

Google your wedding date sunset time (enter month, day, year, location, and "sunset time"). Whether your ceremony is indoor or outdoor, you don't want to get caught in the dark. If you want a daytime wedding vibe but choose a ceremony time too late in the day, it could be too dark for your ceremony and/or portraits and you won't get what you're expecting. Typically a ceremony 1.5-2 hours before sunset is safe. If you want a sunset wedding, having a “first look” is a great option too!

Do you offer videography?

I offer photography services only BUT I have go-to’s who specialize in wedding videos who I LOVE working with. It takes a village to create and capture a memorable experience for you and teamwork literally makes the dream work in these circumstances. I offer discounts if you book with them also. Ask me when you reach out!

Why is the deposit non-refundable?

No grey areas here. Your deposit to book is non-refundable because it officially blocks the date on my calendar so that I can say “NOPE” to other jobs. This is industry standard and I cover all the bases in depth on cancellations and rescheduling in my contract so that there are no surprises!

Do you do family sessions? Senior sessions? Newborn?

Yes, yes, and yes! I do focus on couples and weddings for the most part and try to block out weekends for those but during certain seasons, I try to fit in requests for family and senior sessions when I can. Just ask! If I'm not available for your timeframe, I always have a list of other photographers I love who I can refer you to.

How do we book?

After we've made sure that we’re the right fit for each other, a signed contract and 30% non-refundable deposit reserves your date and makes us official!
